Federal Partners
FishAmerica’s partnerships with federal fisheries agencies allow
us to fund beneficial fisheries conservation projects nationwide. Strong
relationships with NOAA’s Community-based Restoration Program and
the U.S. Fish and Wildlife’s Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program
have led to effective partnerships providing millions of dollars to conserve
America’s waters and fisheries.
NOAA Restoration Center
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration’s (NOAA) Restoration
Center is home to NOAA’s Community-based Restoration Program. The
program brings together citizen groups, public and nonprofit organizations,
industry, corporations and businesses, youth conservation corps, students,
landowners, and local government, state and Federal agencies to restore
fishery habitat along the coastal United States. FishAmerica’s
partnership with the NOAA Restoration Center funds marine and anadromous
fish habitat restoration projects which benefit recreationally fished
species around the coastal United States.

US Fish and Wildlife Service’s Partners for Fish and Wildlife
Program
The US Fish and Wildlife Service’s Partners for
Fish and Wildlife Program is a voluntary program that helps private landowners
restore wetlands and other fish and wildlife habitats on their own land.
The FishAmerica Foundation has partnered with the Partners program to
provide funding to private land-based projects in the northeast and southeast
United States. Funded projects include wetland and riparian restoration,
instream habitat enhancement, and fish passage improvement.
