Conservation Partners
There is strength in numbers, and FishAmerica has joined together with
other non-profit organizations to turn this strength into tangible results
for fisheries restoration. Teaming up with conservation organizations,
FishAmerica works hard to increase the impact of every local community
dollar to restore and improve our nation fish and water resources.
Chesapeake Bay Trust
The Chesapeake Bay Trust is a private,
nonprofit grantmaking organization created by the Maryland General Assembly
to promote public awareness and participation in the restoration and
protection of the Chesapeake Bay and its Maryland tributaries. In
its first year (2004) of projects in a four-year partnership, FAF and
CBT awarded $91,000 to five conservation organizations in MD to restore
fish habitat, improve water quality and enhance fish stocks in the Chesapeake
Bay and its MD tributaries.

Brunswick Public Foundation
Since 2000, FishAmerica
has received a $20,000 each from the Brunswick Public Foundation to enhance
boating and fishing opportunities along our nation’s coastal states.
These donations are matched with monies from FishAmerica’s partnership
with the NOAA Restoration Center and the local organizations to fund
critical on-the-ground sportfish enhancement projects.
