Restoring the Little Lehigh Watershed through Dam Removal


Project Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania

Wildlands Conservancy restored the Little Lehigh Creek watershed by removing six dams and several man-made structures, and implementing extensive floodplain and riparian restoration along the Little Lehigh Creek and its main tributary Jordan Creek. Sport fish that benefited from this project include Brown, Rainbow, and Brook trout; American and Hickory shad, and Striped bass.
